Building privacy-preserving infrastructure takes both cryptographic depth and an understanding of how security systems operate in practice. Singapore’s security community is an important setting for that work.
STANDCON 2026, scheduled for 16–17 October at the Lifelong Learning Institute, included Silence Laboratories in its industry activities listing. The programme introduced our work and invited attendees to learn about the team and current opportunities.
Computing across organisational boundaries
The listing highlighted our cryptographic virtual machine and its use in encrypted analytics across data held by separate organisations. It also introduced AP3 and our focus on private agent workflows.
These areas share a practical objective: allowing multiple parties to produce a useful result while preserving the confidentiality of the inputs they contribute. Applications include financial crime detection and collaboration across institutions.
Applied cryptography as an engineering discipline
Turning that objective into infrastructure requires attention to the whole workflow. Teams need to define the computation, establish the participating parties’ permissions and understand the information released by an output.
The STANDCON listing placed this work alongside the wider community of people building and assessing security systems. It offered an introduction to the engineering problems we work on and the role of privacy-preserving computation in enterprise collaboration.
